20th September 2012: For the 4th year a row, MeteoGroup has taken part in La Fête du Vent, Marseille’s annual Wind Festival.
From 14th-16th September, MeteoGroup, in collaboration with Les Petits Débrouillards, organised weather-based scientific experiments for over 400 children at the Fête du Vent. The experiments helped the children to learn about the weather and its properties and they even had a go at building their own anemometers and weather vanes.
MeteoGroup was also the official weather forecast provider for the festival, supplying weather updates for the public and regularly posting forecasts for the wind at different heights for the kite flyers.
The City of Marseille, a long-standing client of MeteoGroup, welcomed the company’s active participation at the festival and the public was keen to learn more about weather forecasting. Of particular interest to the public was WeatherPro, the best-selling weather app from MeteoGroup.
