6th June 2012: MeteoGroup has introduced a number of new features to WeatherPro for Android.  The latest update includes new and improved widgets and additional GPS location services.

WeatherPro for Android has offered widgets for some time but, in the latest update, MeteoGroup has added new formats and functionality.  The new widgets are all transparent so that they complement the background on any customised home screen and there are a number of new formats, giving even more flexibility.  Due to customer demand, MeteoGroup has also introduced two brand new combined clock and weather widgets.

Radar and satellite are two of the most popular features on WeatherPro and are supported for the USA and most of Europe.  In version 2.2 the radar and satellite automatically update to show the user’s current location so customers will see the surrounding weather conditions at the touch of a button.

Customers with Android 4.0 devices will see design improvements based on guidelines from Google including a switch to the standard Android menu bar and a new favourites list.  Bug fixes and minor improvements have also been made.

WeatherPro for Android 2.2 is available for download from the Android Market now.
