What does MeteoGroup offer?
Wind resource grids
MeteoGroup provides historical wind maps at various resolutions to cover your array of geographic locations at any hub height. Studies can go back 10, 20 or even 50 years.
Frequency distribution
Output can be supplied as a time series or in a range of frequency distribution analyses.
Temporal resolution
Output can be displayed as average, monthly, seasonal or yearly resolutions.
Incorporating client data
Looking ahead, our ongoing consultancy service updates wind climatologies as campaigns (such as met mast and LIDAR) get underway.
Bespoke delivery format
Post-processing options are available to suit your needs - from standard CSV output to wind roses, frequency distribution bins, seasonal or geographic variations.

How does it work behind the scenes?
MeteoGroup uses the most comprehensive datasets available, created through the application of ECMWF data, as well as our own in-house MeteoGroup incorporating WRF® reanalysis data and observations.
At MeteoGroup we work with our clients to develop bespoke services. For renewables projects, we use our in-house range of weather data and, where available, client information from LIDAR, SCADA and met masts to ensure that our forecasts are of the highest quality.
