Tonight (Friday night): Evening showers in the west will tend to ease and die away, although some could persist for a time over west Wales, south-west Scotland and Northern Ireland. Elsewhere it will be a dry night with lengthy clear spells for most places. Some patches of mist or fog are likely to develop. A generally mild night for the time of year, but a little cooler in north-eastern areas.

UK Outlook (Saturday and Sunday): On Saturday, Scotland will have heavy or thundery showers. Northern Ireland, the Pennines, the Cambrian mountains and SW England will see isolated showers developing. Otherwise there will be hazy warm sunshine. Sunday will be fine and warm in most places after early fog but Scotland will have showers, these mainly in the north, some heavy with thunder.
