Today (Wednesday): Cloudy in the west with patchy rain in western England and Wales and showers for western Scotland. Sunny spells in the east for a time, but becoming cloudier in the afternoon, although staying dry. Breezy in the north-west. Feeling mild.
Tonight (Wednesday night): Many parts of England will have clear spells to start. However, cloud will spread across from the west. This perhaps breaking up again later in central parts. There will be the chance of an odd spot of drizzle in the north-west. Wales will be mainly dry but with lots of cloud. Clear spells later. Largely cloudy in Scotland with showers in the north-west for a time and rain in the west later. Northern Ireland will be largely cloudy with drizzle in western parts later.
UK Outlook (Thursday and Friday): A dry morning on Thursday for most of England with sunny spells. However, there will be rain arrive in western parts. This will spread east after midday but it may stay dry in the far east. Wales will have a mainly dry morning with sunny spells and increasing amounts of cloud. Rain during the afternoon. Largely cloudy in Scotland with rain spreading east. Mainly dry in Northern Ireland but with lots of cloud. On Friday, rain in Scotland will become confined to the north-west. Much of England will be dry with sunny spells but there will be a few showers in the north-west during the morning. Cloud will also thicken in southern areas later with rain arriving in the south-west. Wales will be mainly dry with sunny spells during the morning. However, cloud will increase from the south after midday. Predominantly dry in Northern Ireland with sunny intervals.
